II. Les joies du mariage (v. 15-20)
• Une intimité exclusive : La fidélité conjugale est comparée au fait de boire l’eau de son propre puits privé.
• Source de bonheur : Dieu a conçu l’intimité conjugale pour la joie mutuelle et l’épanouissement du couple.
• La satisfaction au foyer : Trouver son délice en son propre conjoint élimine le désir de chercher son épanouissement ailleurs.
III. Les conséquences de l’adultère (v. 21-23)
• L’omniscience divine : Dieu voit chacune des actions humaines ; aucun péché secret ne lui demeure caché.
• Le piège que l’on se tend à soi-même : Les méchants sont capturés et enchaînés par les cordes de leurs propres péchés.
• Une absence fatale de discipline : Le refus de la correction conduit à l’aveuglement spirituel et à la ruine finale.
Principales leçons théologiques et pratiques
• Fuir la tentation : Ne négociez pas avec la tentation sexuelle ; fuyez immédiatement, en suivant l’exemple biblique de Joseph.
• Le bouclier divin : Le meilleur vaccin contre l’inconduite sexuelle est une crainte de Dieu respectueuse et profonde.
• La garde de l’esprit : Rejetez activement les pensées toxiques qui polluent l’esprit et remplacez-les par des pensées qui honorent Dieu.

• Exclusive intimacy: Marital fidelity is compared to drinking water from one’s own private well.
• Source of happiness: God designed marital intimacy for mutual joy and fulfillment as a couple.
• Satisfaction at home: Finding delight in one’s own spouse eliminates the desire to seek fulfillment elsewhere.
III. The Consequences of Adultery (vv. 21-23)
• Divine omniscience: God sees every human action; no secret sin remains hidden from Him.
• The trap we set for ourselves: The wicked are captured and chained by the strings of their own sins.
• A fatal lack of discipline: The refusal of correction leads to spiritual blindness and final ruin.
Main theological and practical lessons
• Flee from temptation: Do not negotiate with sexual temptation; flee immediately, following the biblical example of Joseph.
• The Divine Shield: The best vaccine against sexual misconduct is a respectful and deep fear of God.
• Guarding the mind: Actively reject toxic thoughts that pollute the mind and replace them with thoughts that honor God.

Ask yourself these diagnostic questions: Am I complaining often? Do I have the tendency to blame others for almost everything? Do I talk to myself negatively? Do I dwell in my past successes or failures? Do I resist to change? Do I want to please everybody (which by way is am impossible task)? Do I doubt God’s wonderful plan for my life? Do I neglect my Bible study, church attendance, and prayer life? I am hiding to commit sin or life my life like an ungodly person without a respectful fear of God? Am I jealous? Am I envious? Am I afraid of what will happen to me given my current life circumstances? Bring these issues to the Lord in prayer and your will enjoy His peace and joy.
